Modiano has been heavily involved in disputes concerning the piracy or cybersquatting of domain names throughout Europe and has been successful in obtaining the correct assignment of domain names to many of its clients. The IT department of Modiano (Egontek) is domain maintainer registered with the Italian Registration Authority (NIC.IT). Moreover, one member of Modiano is also one of the "wise persons" of the Italian Arbitration Entity which follows the Italian Domain Names Dispute Resolution Policy . Quite a number of other cases had to be resolved in Court and frequently preliminary injunctions were sufficient to reach the desired goals.
