Paolo is a member of our litigation department. He assists national and international clients on a wide range of intellectual property litigation, particularly in matters of patent and trademark litigation, trade secrets and know-how, unfair competition, and false advertising.
Paolo's experience includes advising on and assisting with the enforcement of all intellectual property rights, in and out of court, and he provides assistance with trademark oppositions and trademark cancellation and invalidity actions before local and European Offices.
He also assists clients with drafting intellectual property agreements, including settlement agreements, non-disclosure agreements, licensing and distribution agreements, and manufacturing and supply agreements.
Paolo's clients include startups, small/medium enterprise and large national and international corporate groups. He has worked with clients in a variety of sectors including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, engineering, automotive, fashion, manufacturing, food and beverage, retail and leisure.
Many of the disputes Paolo has advised on have included multi-jurisdictional issues involving working with clients and legal counsel in other countries including the USA, Brazil, Germany and Denmark.
Paolo graduated from university with a thesis titled "Reduction in capital owing to losses in limited responsibility companies".
Prior to joining Modiano & Partners, Paolo worked as an associate for a leading local law firm, dealing mainly with civil litigation with a focus on corporate law, bankruptcy law and restructuring.
