Marcella is a member of our foreign trademark opposition department.
She has consolidated experience in the intellectual property sector, enabling her to fully assess the needs of clients and protect their trademark portfolios by implementing targeted strategies.
She works for the most part in trademark opposition and cancellation procedures abroad (preceded by investigating the status of the adverse party's trademarks in fact and in law), and she works closely with local counsel all over the world.
She conducts analysis and drafts opinions on prior art searches, and she conducts trademark surveillance worldwide.
Marcella also has specific expertise in drafting cease-and-desist letters, dealing with out-of-court matters, providing assistance in negotiating and drafting coexistence agreements with third parties, acquiring trademark portfolios, and handling disputes in foreign courts.
She assists with drafting due diligence reports.
She assists a wide range of clients, including small and medium enterprises and large corporations, in Italy and abroad, operating in many different sectors including automotive, mechanical engineering, fashion, football, agrifood and electrotechnical engineering, providing advice in particular on defense strategies at worldwide level.
Marcella obtained her degree cum laude in industrial law, presenting a thesis titled "Celebrated trademarks and renowned trademarks".
