Mauro is a member of our trademark department.
His work brings him into close contact with clients, assisting them in defining the best tools for defining the protection requirements, and developing the most effective and advantageous search and filing strategies, at both national and international level. He supports the client in designing and implementing new trademarks and also in expanding and optimizing the existing portfolio, so it will always be in line with current market scenarios. Mauro has consolidated experience in managing large portfolios for clients, both national and foreign.
In his work, he also regularly liaises with communication firms, graphics studios and professional studios, coordinating them so as to offer the client an overall view of the problems associated with choosing and implementing a new trademark.
Mauro has consolidated experience in prior art searches with national and international scope, in drafting trademark availability and registrability opinions, and also in conducting searches for possible third-party trademarks in disputes.
He also handles the prosecution of national trademark applications and all related activities, including replying to office actions, limitations, renewals and updates to ownership, and he also drafts the related contracts.
In addition to searching and filing trademarks, Mauro also conducts surveillance on trademarks worldwide and provides advice and assistance with filing copyright applications.
Mauro works for a wide range of clients, national and international, including physical persons, startups, small and medium enterprises and multinational corporations, operating in a wide range of sectors: clothing and fashion, media, food and beverage, cosmetics, e-commerce, and small- and large-scale retail distribution.
Mauro graduated from university with a thesis titled “The New York Trilogy by Paul Auster: the postmodern development of crime fiction”.
