He supports clients in the drafting, filing and prosecution of applications for Italian, European and international patents, helping them to manage their patent portfolios.
His work also includes defining strategies to protect and enhance intellectual property, for example through patent prior art searches, design registrations, and filing of copyrights, particularly for software.
He works with clients in several sectors including automotive, biomedical, mechanical, thermal engineering, electrotechnical engineering and furnishings. He works with SMEs, tech start-ups and individual inventors. His experience enables him to accompany clients throughout the entire patent life cycle, identifying solutions for each individual case and for specific business requirements.
Alessandro obtained his Master's degree in mechanical engineering with a thesis titled “Development of dynamometric handrims for the collection of sprint forces during elite wheelchair athletics events”, which led to the filing of a patent.
Prior to joining Modiano & Partners, Alessandro gained experience with a university research post in the biomedical sector, followed by working in an engineering company and in a medical device manufacturer, where he acquired a solid knowledge both of technical aspects and of the practical side of intellectual property applied to complex products.
