Matteo Noseda

Matteo is a member of the patent department, the European patent department and the litigation department.

He assists clients with drafting and filing their patent applications in the fields of software, electronics and mechanics, patent prosecution, and managing their patent portfolios. He also assists clients with registering designs and utility models.

His activity also includes validity and infringement opinions for patents, designs and utility models, freedom-to-operate opinions, assessments of patentability requirements through analysis of prior art documents, and freedom-to-operate and prior art searches.

Matteo regularly represents clients as a technical expert in national IP litigation relating to patents, trade secrets and unfair competition, and he supports clients with drafting licensing, distribution and confidentiality agreements.

Matteo specializes in software engineering, electronic engineering, hardware and software, consumer electronics, electronic boards and their manufacture, management and control systems, identification and authentication systems, monitoring devices, digital content processing systems, telecommunication systems, medical devices, electrical motors, extrusion machines, earth-moving equipment, metal and glass working, and paper-making.

His clients mainly include small/medium enterprises, startups and individual inventors, as well as large multinational corporations, research institutions, universities and technology transfer offices, both domestic and foreign.

Matteo obtained his degree with a thesis titled “Acquisition and processing of electrocardiograph signals on a mobile device running Android”.

Prior to joining Modiano & Partners, Matteo worked as an analyst at Deloitte Consulting in CM&S (customer management & strategy), supporting the definition and development of tools and strategies for CRM (customer relationship management).
