Paola is a member of our trademark department. She manages and coordinates the analysis, filing, prosecution, renewal and defense of national trademarks.
Her activity begins when the trademark is at the embryonic stage, and continues through filing and regular maintenance. In particular, she focuses on analyzing prior art, drafting validity and confusability opinions and assessing the best strategies for filing and protection, in terms both of territorial protection and of the goods and services to be protected.
She also provides assistance at the intermediate and subsequent stages of the lifetime of the trademark, with regard to changes of ownership, restyling, renewal, broadening of protection, in terms of both geography and of activity.
Paola also assists clients in trademark surveillance, an activity aimed at identifying potential cases of infringement and at assessing possible opposition or invalidation actions.
Paola is passionate, enthusiastic and proactive in her work, assisting national and foreign clients in the most wide-ranging sectors: fashion, pharmaceuticals, advertising, electronics, food, television, telecommunications, computing and automotive.
She always places the client at the center of her activity and starts from their needs, providing them with answers that are tailored, practical and prompt, in order to build the most suitable and robust strategy together.

Paola graduated from university with a thesis titled “The celebrated trademark, or trademark of high renown".
Prior to joining Modiano & Partners, Paola worked at a law firm specializing in intellectual property.
