Serena Grassi

Specialist
Serena is a member of our department for managing changes in ownership of intellectual property rights.

Part of her work involves analyzing the different corporate situations and preparing the documentation required to update ownership of rights with the appropriate administrations.

She provides support and advice to clients on mergers and acquisitions, national and international, and remains in constant contact with foreign counsel all over the world so as to have up-to-date information on the latest changes in legislation.

In this way she is able to advise clients on the best procedure to follow in accordance with the conditions required by individual countries, such as any taxes to be paid to complete the recordal operations.

She prepares the necessary forms for the recordal at the appropriate administrations and, where necessary, translates these deeds into English and/or Spanish. In doing this, Serena regularly consults the online databases of national, European and international Patent and Trademark Offices, as well as companies registers or similar evidence relating to foreign companies.

She often works with Chambers of Commerce, national and foreign, with embassies and consulates for the legalization of the documents necessary for la recordal.

Her practice covers trademarks, patents, designs and copyrights, and she provides assistance to private individuals, universities, research institutions, and enterprise, national and foreign, which operate in a wide range of sectors, including fashion, the food industry, biotechnology, the automotive sector, and engineering.

Serena graduated from university with a thesis titled “Multiculturalism and human rights”.
