Katja is a member of our litigation department. She assists clients with legal matters like drafting agreements (licensing, coexistence, non-disclosure, assignment) and developing the best strategy to follow in conflicts with third parties.
Her practice also includes national and international trademark oppositions, interacting and negotiating with adverse parties, administrations and Customs offices.
She specializes in mediation and out-of-court settlements, and she also draws on a wide network of international colleagues to assist clients in coordinating litigation before national and international courts.
Katja is frequently involved in court cases on behalf of national and foreign clients. She has extensive experience in national and European trademark, design and patent law, and also in copyright, antitrust, and unfair competition.
Her clients are multinational corporations, small/medium companies and private individuals in the fields of commerce and IP, with a focus on clients or counterparts in German-speaking countries.
Prior to joining Modiano & Partners, Katja worked in the German Embassy in Singapore and in the administration department of a multinational corporation.
