Giovanni is a member of our patent and design department.
He assists clients with filing and prosecuting patent applications, and is involved in the filing, prosecution, and grant of patent applications at national, European and international level.
He has experience in filing national, Community and International design applications, and works on filing design applications abroad.
His practice also includes prior art searches and drafting validity and freedom-to-operate opinions.
Giovanni listens attentively to clients' needs, and works with them to find the best solutions to protect their IP rights. These solutions are tailored to each individual case and its specific requirements, and Giovanni accompanies each client in managing their portfolios of patents and designs.
He assists clients mainly in the sectors of mechanics, fluid dynamics, thermal engineering, construction, automation, materials, agriculture, and biomedical devices. He has considerable experience with clients in the clothing, accessories, jewelry and interior design sectors.
He works with large multinationals, small and medium-sized enterprises and individual inventors, and also with research institutes and universities.
Giovanni graduated from university with a thesis entitled: “Study of the propagation of fires in rail tunnels using FDS-NIST software”.
Prior to joining Modiano & Partners, Giovanni worked as a consultant in the fire prevention and safety sector.
