Robert Palmieri

Attorney-at-law
Robert is a member of our foreign trademark opposition department and our litigation department.

He assists clients in enforcing and protecting their trademark rights internationally, and also in devising tailor-made strategies to manage and effectively grow their trademark portfolios.

His practice involves conducting preliminary prior rights searches and due diligence as well as handling oppositions, cancellation actions, and legal proceedings worldwide. In addition, he advises clients on copyright and licensing, distribution and settlement agreements, as well as on negotiations involving IP matters of a global scale.

Robert often handles international disputes on behalf of corporate clients, assisting them in complex legal procedures in common law countries such as the US, as well as procedures for administrative and infringement actions in foreign jurisdictions and involving complicated evidentiary issues.

He possesses an in-depth knowledge of international trademark law and draws on significant experience in advising clients on implementing strategic IP planning and risk management, and on enforcing their trademark rights worldwide against infringement and dilution by third parties.

He works with clients across a huge range of sectors including consumer products, fashion, luxury goods, food and beverage, automotive, machinery, e-commerce and manufacturing.

Robert acts for a variety of foreign and domestic clients, including multinational corporations, small and medium-sized enterprises, start-ups and sole traders.
