Valentina is a member of our trademark department. She assists with filing trademark applications and with all preliminary and subsequent activities. In particular, she conducts prior art searches, drafts trademark registrability opinions, assists in the stages of examination, opposition and prosecution, replies to objections raised by the trademark authorities, handles disputes in and out of court, and assists with declarations of use and renewal applications.
Valentina also specializes in copyright, contracts (licensing, distribution and other agreements), and trademark infringement opinions.
She is also an expert in filing ownership change requests before the patent and trademark authorities: recordals and annotations of any kind of change of ownership relating to trademarks, patents, models (owing to mergers, sales, inheritance etc.).
Valentina works with many different kinds of clients operating in a variety of sectors, including clothing and footwear, food and wine, sports, and the furniture and lighting sectors. Valentina works with large, medium and small enterprises, associations, consortia, and also with physical persons.
Valentina graduated from university with a thesis titled "The career of the ordinary magistrate".
Prior to joining Modiano & Partners, Valentina worked with a law firm specializing in administrative and civil law.
