Maria is a member of our department for managing, developing and maintaining existing clients and acquiring new clients.
She provides clients with updated reports on their intellectual property rights, ensuring them a complete overview of their rights portfolio, for use in due diligence, licensing contracts or sale of rights, and also for evaluation for entry in financial statements.
Maria assists clients in procedures to transfer the management of intellectual property rights which had previously been managed by other firms, or which were included in an acquisition, to our firm. In this stage she coordinates relations between clients, colleagues and foreign associates, as well as the necessary activities to assume the mandate before the respective Patent and Trademark Offices.
She also has experience in preliminary filing advice, in verifying the territorial protection and the goods and services protected by existing trademark rights, and in studying and developing the best strategies for filing and maintenance in Italy, Europe and abroad.
She assists national and foreign clients operating in many sectors and of all sizes, from multinationals to private individuals, and also small and medium enterprises, public bodies, associations and research institutions.
Maria graduated from university with a thesis titled "The sorrowful Argentina of Paula Pérez Alonso in No sé si casarme o comprarme un perro".
Prior to joining Modiano & Partners, Maria worked in the customer relations office of a major pharmaceutical company.
